What Is CE Marking for Structural Steel?
Under the Construction Products Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011, all structural steel components placed on the EU market must be CE marked. This requires compliance with EN 1090-1, the harmonised standard for structural metalwork.
Without CE Marking, structural steel products cannot legally be sold or used in construction projects within Ireland or the wider European Union.
